About the Author
Born in Singapore and raised between the city state and Malaysia, A Felix' early beginnings gave her an eclectic start in life. She moved to Hong Kong as an adult and found her spiritual home there where she lived and worked in corporate for 20 years. A lifelong dreamer with a deep love of storytelling, she found her voice as an author through one of life's most profound and tender chapters and since the birth of her rainbow child, she and her family call a small coastal town along the Atlantic Ocean home.
The Inspiration
After many years of longing, A. Felix became pregnant at 43 with twin girls. When a serious illness forced an emergency delivery at just 26 weeks, her daughters lived for only three days. In the depths of grief that followed, she found herself asking a question that would not let her go: where do souls go before they are born?
I Am A Soul was born from that question — a tender, lyrical answer written for every child who is longed for, every family waiting with open arms, and every little soul finding its way home. It is a story of love that exists before life begins, and a tribute to the two bright lights who inspired it all.
